Arctic SISU Experience

Arctic SISU Experience is a small,truly  locally operated tour company based in Sodankylä, Finnish Lapland, offering authentic, personal, and small-group Arctic experiences away from mass tourism.

Our experiences are built around the Finnish concept of SISU—strength, resilience, courage, and determination—and our aim is to help visitors experience the Arctic not only as tourists, but through meaningful connections with nature, local culture, and everyday life in Lapland.

We offer a diverse range of experiences throughout the year, including Northern Lights hunting, Northern Lights BBQ experiences, husky safaris, reindeer encounters, traditional ice fishing, snowshoeing, Finnish sauna and wellness experiences, Santa Claus experiences, and tailor-made Arctic adventures.

What makes Arctic SISU Experience different is our focus on small groups, authentic local partnerships, personalized service, and flexible experiences. We work closely with local reindeer herders, husky farms, wellness providers, and other local partners to introduce visitors to genuine Arctic traditions and the people who live and work in the region.

We also provide hotel pickup and drop-off in Sodankylä, personalized pre-activity information for guests, and tailor-made programs for families, couples, private groups, and accommodation partners.

Our vision is to showcase Sodankylä as an authentic Arctic destination, where visitors can enjoy peaceful wilderness, dark skies, local traditions, and genuine Finnish hospitality.
