Welcome to Lampivaara Café, one of the most traditional and beloved excursion destinations in the Luosto area. Built from sturdy deadwood pines, this charming café is located in the heart of Pyhä-Luosto National Park and has provided a welcoming resting place for hikers, visitors, and cross-country skiers for decades.

As the café is located within the national park, it cannot be reached by car. Depending on the season, visitors can arrive on foot, by bicycle, on skis, or with snowshoes. From the Ukko-Luosto parking area, an easy but gently uphill 2.5-kilometre trail leads to the café. Upon arrival, visitors are greeted by freshly baked buns and doughnuts that have made Lampivaara Café a well-known stop along the trail.

During your visit, you can enjoy the peace of Lapland’s nature, the unique atmosphere of the national park, and the café’s friendly service. Lampivaara Café also serves as the information and ticket sales point for the Lampivaara Amethyst Mine, where guided mine tours begin according to the daily schedule. The café is a perfect place to take a break, whether you are exploring the national park or visiting the amethyst mine.
